Some applications are just awesome. Because they just save lives.
The University of Pennsylvania launched the MyHeartMap Challenge. This competition consists of generating a map to locate the places in the city that can save somebody from a Heart Attack. That means that if you suffer a heart attack in the middle of the street and somebody has this app installed in the Iphone, maybe your life can be saved. Crowdsourcing rocks, huh?
The generation of crowd-powered services will be the general rule in a world where the public sector has limited resources, but they need to cover more services than ever. This way is a huge opportunity to those who develop easy ideas in a fast environment, because services will cover necessities and will low the costs for the government.
In this project, The team that locates the higher number of ADS gets $10.000, and the satisfaction of, maybe, safe a life.
